New Decorative Resin Bound Work
We’re really proud of this recently completed surfacing at the war memorial in Hythe Kent, in time for this year’s Remembrance Sunday. An excellent example of just how versatile a resin bound system can be and what can be achieved.
We also donated a poppy inlay to the Sandgate memorial after laying WW1 “footprints” in granite resin.
Thank you to the Sandgate Society

Unlike our competitors we use “fines” in our mix. Fines are measured bags of kiln dried sand and quartz, using “fines” makes the resin surface harder and much more durable.

What’s The Difference
Resin Bound Systems are porous and SUDS (Sustainable urban Drainage Systems) compliant. The aggregate in this system is mixed thoroughly together with the clear resin and trowelled onto an appropriate surface to give a permeable smooth finish.
- Finished depth of resin bound surfacing is between 12mm – 24mm
Resin Bonded Systems are non porous. The resin is first applied to a suitable surface then the aggregate is scattered, completely covering the resin. This single stone layer has a rougher more textured finish.
- Finished depth of resin bond surfacing is between 3mm – 6mm
